Job summary

Cross Company, a 100% employee-owned industrial technology leader in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a Full Time Technical technician responsible for repairs, calibrations, and preventive maintenance of electrical/electronic and mechanical test and measurement equipment used in an industrial production environment.

You will install, test, calibrate complex equipment, document activity, troubleshoot 120-volt circuits, and mentor junior technicians while upholding safety and customer service

Qualifications

• A.A.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, or Control Automation, or military equivalent.
• Three years’ electronics experience with electrical/electronic controls/instruments manufacturing equipment or process control systems.
• Familiar with calibration and operation of pH meters, conductivity meters and gas analyzers.
• Ability to troubleshoot 120 volt circuits without supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, calibrations, and preventive maintenance to test and measurement equipment.
• Install, test, calibrate, and repair complex electronic and mechanical equipment.
• Document repair activity in Cross database applications.
• Work from vendor schematics and use diagnostic equipment.
• Coordinate and perform instrument preventative maintenance.
• Mentor less experienced technicians when needed.
• Maintain safety and customer service mindset.
• Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
