test company is seeking a Calibration Specialist in San Francisco, CA, to ensure the accuracy and reliability of measurement instruments across multiple departments. You will develop, implement, and maintain calibration procedures to guarantee devices meet stringent performance criteria.

The role requires metrology know-how, ISO/IEC 17025 awareness, and hands-on calibration of both industrial and laboratory instruments.

Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Metrology, or related technical field.
Experience calibrating industrial or laboratory instruments.
Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540 calibration standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

Responsabilités

Perform routine and non-routine calibration of a wide range of instruments per standard procedures.
Develop and update calibration documentation, reports and certificates for traceability.
Diagnose and troubleshoot calibration issues and suggest corrective actions.
Collaborate with QA and engineering to support audits and validations.
Maintain calibration equipment and provide staff training on best practices.
