Job summary

Prysmian in the United States is seeking a 304 Cabler Operator to operate the cabling line, strand conductors into cores, apply fillers, and bind the core under precise tolerances.

You will set up and adjust dies, load/unload, and ensure SAP/ERP transactions are recorded, with safe housekeeping and strict quality monitoring. This role requires strong dexterity, attention to detail, and physical stamina in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Color perception required.
• Good physical condition; strength to move heavy reels (approx. 75 lbs).
• Dexterity for threading die plates and changing reels; precision in measurements.

Responsibilities

• Operate cabler to strand conductors and form cable cores.
• Apply fillers at interstices and bind core with binders.
• Set up cabler, change gears/dies, load/unload per operating instructions.
• Ensure SAP/ERP transactions are recorded for materials and process flow.
• Fill out reports and monitor quality; maintain a safe, organized workspace.
• Maintain tolerances to 1/10,000 inch.
