Job summary

Communications- in Plano, TX is seeking a skilled cable assembly Technician to follow exacting design specifications to build cables and modules.

You will read blueprints, select dies and fittings, cut to length, swage and test assemblies, and maintain safety and 5S shop discipline. This role requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to operate hand tools and swaging equipment to tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints and work orders to define operation sequence and fittings.
• Ability to measure, cut, and assemble cable components to tight tolerances.
• Proficient with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates and tests cable assemblies following blueprints and specifications.
• Reads blueprints, determines sequence of operations and required fittings.
• Cuts cable to length and swages fittings onto cable using machines.
• Positions fittings and inspects dimensions with measuring tools.
• Tests holding capacity and performs rework as needed.
• Maintains safety procedures and 5S shop discipline.
