Job summary

Unknown is seeking a Brake Operator in Lebanon, MO to set up and operate a power brake to bend, form, and straighten sheet metal according to blueprints.

You will read part prints, position dies, adjust clamps, and verify parts with radius gauges; overtime and weekend shifts may apply. The role requires 18+ years old and preferred manufacturing experience, with PPE and a noisy environment expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred: previous manufacturing experience.
• Preferred: ability to use measuring tools (micrometer, caliper, radius gauges).
• Preferred: math and blueprint reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Selects, positions, and aligns dies in machine ram and bed.
• Turns setscrews or bolts to fasten clamp bar that holds dies in position.
• Lays out or details layout on work stock from blueprints.
• Starts machine to lower ram or depresses pedal to activate ram that bends metal.
• Use part prints and shop math to figure important measurements for the parts being made.
• Use radius gauges to inspect parts when needed.
• Willingness to assist in other areas as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
