Job summary

SGL Carbon, LLC is seeking an Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The role involves assembling components for the SGL Carbon Technic product line, including heat exchangers, tubes, headers, and related systems.

You will read detailed blueprints, use basic tools such as torque wrenches, and measure with micrometers and gauges, while coordinating with machinists and engineers. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to communicate technical

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• 3 years of experience in a fabrication facility.
• Preferred experience with pressurized equipment and welded vessels.
• Ability to work with little supervision as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with others regarding technical issues.
• Ability to work with shop, management, and technical personnel.
• Ability to communicate drawing and dimensional issues to staff and employees.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and pc file management.

Responsibilities

• Ability to do standard shop mathematics.
• Ability to read and understand all facets of detailed blueprints.
• Ability to read and understand required measuring equipment such as micrometers, gauges, torque wrenches.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to follow working detail drawings as designed.
• General maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Safety conscious with safety training background.
