Job summary

SGL Carbon, LLC is seeking an Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The role involves assembling components for the SGL Carbon Technic product line, including heat exchangers, tubes, headers, and related systems.

You will read detailed blueprints, use basic tools such as torque wrenches, and measure with micrometers and gauges, while coordinating with machinists and engineers. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to communicate technical

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• 3 years of experience in a fabrication facility.
• Preferred experience with pressurized equipment and welded vessels.
• Ability to work with little supervision as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with others regarding technical issues.
• Ability to work with shop, management, and technical personnel.
• Ability to communicate drawing and dimensional issues to staff and employees.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and pc file management.

Position Summary:

This position requires the assembly of components that make up the product line of SGL CARBON TECHNIC. Product line includes items such as heat exchanger and parts (tube sheets, headers, baffles), systems and parts (trays, cylinders). Strong blue-print reading skills are required, as well as experience in working with basic tooling (ie. torque wrenches) and measuring equipment (ie micrometers, gauges). Good communication skills with the other assemblers, machinists, and engineering group are also required.
