Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions LLC Career Center in Alexandria, MN seeks a Blaster Machine Operator to join our plant team. You will blast bridges inside the booth to remove mill scale and prep surfaces for paint, while performing routine maintenance on equipment and maintaining a clean work area.

The role requires the ability to pass pulmonary fit tests, wear blast protection for extended periods, and read project drawings with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass pulmonary fit test and wear blast suit for 2+ hours.
• Ability to work with precision instruments.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to read notes on drawings for project instructions.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions and schedules from plant supervision.
• Blasts bridges inside blast booth to remove mill scale and prep steel surface for paint.
• Perform operator maintenance on booth and spray hose.
• Check all finished work for obvious defects prior to final inspection.
• Maintain work area and equipment in clean, orderly condition.
• Other duties as assigned.
