Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions in Alexandria, MN is seeking a Blaster Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will blast bridges and prep steel surfaces, supporting essential infrastructure projects.

You will receive instructions from supervision, maintain the blast booth, and inspect finished work for defects. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and teamwork with hands-on training and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must pass pulmonary fit test.
• Able to work with precision instruments.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to read notes on drawings for project instructions.

• Blast bridges inside blast booth to remove mill scale and prep steel surface for paint.
• Perform operator maintenance on booth and spray hose.
• Check all finished work for obvious defects prior to final inspection.
• Maintain work area and equipment in clean, orderly condition.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are looking for a BLASTER MACHINE OPERATOR to join our Alexandria, MN plant. As a Blaster Machine Operator with Contech you will contribute to America's essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management.

About the Role

• Receive instructions and schedules from plant supervision.

About You

We Require:

• Ability to pass pulmonary fit test and be capable of wearing blast suit for long period of time (2+ hours).
• Ability to work with precision instruments.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to read notes on drawings for project instructions.
