Job summary

Precision Components is seeking a Blast Operator to load and unload parts, operate the blast system, and adjust settings to remove scale, rust, and paint from metal parts. You will inspect surfaces, maintain accurate production records, and move finished pieces to the paint department for coating.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload parts into blast units manually or with a forklift.
  • Operate blast system to remove scale, rust, and paint from metal parts.
  • Adjust machine settings for cycle time or abrasive flow rate.
  • Keep units at the proper media fill levels.
  • Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to meet quality specifications.
  • Accurately complete production records.
  • Move parts after blasting to the paint department for coating.
  • Perform daily and routine preventative maintenance; help with other maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
