Qualifications

• Experience operating industrial band saws or metalworking machinery.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure, callipers, and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptness and attention to precision.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for full 8-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate band saws to cut metals, plastics, or wood to specified lengths and angles.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders for exact cutting specs.
• Inspect materials before and after cutting using micrometers, calipers, and tape measures to ensure quality.
• Perform basic machine maintenance, blade changes, and routine equipment checks.
• Use RF scanners to log completed jobs, track raw inventory, and stage cut parts for assembly or shipping.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace following OSHA and company guidelines.
