Job summary

McCarthy Tire Service in York, PA seeks an Automotive Service Technician / Alignment Specialist to perform wheel alignments, tire services, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance to keep customers’ vehicles safe and performing at their best.

You will work with modern equipment, document repairs accurately, and support shop operations. Prior tire service and alignment experience is preferred; valid driver’s license and state inspection license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Current State Inspection License required.
• Personal tools required.
• Experience with passenger vehicle tire service and wheel alignments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform wheel alignments and suspension inspections.
• Mount, balance, rotate, repair, and replace passenger vehicle tires.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, wheel balancing, tune-ups, filters).
• Conduct vehicle inspections, road tests, and state inspections.
• Accurately document repairs and maintenance performed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist with inventory, shop operations, and other duties as needed.
