Job summary

Kelso Industries' FabLogix facility in Duncan, SC seeks a skilled Automatic Machine Operator (Roto Welder) to set up and run automated welding equipment for precision components. You will load, position, and secure parts, adjust parameters, and monitor weld quality to meet strict specifications.

Prior welding automation experience and ability to read drawings are preferred. You will perform routine machine maintenance, document production records, and work safely in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience operating automated welding equipment or CNC/automatic machinery preferred.
• Experience with Roto Welder equipment is highly desirable.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and welding specs.
• Use basic measuring and inspection tools proficiently.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills and safety focus.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate Roto Welder and other automated welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Set up machines per work orders, drawings, welding procedures and specs.
• Load, position, fixture, and secure components in the welding machine.
• Adjust welding parameters such as speed, current, voltage and travel rate.
• Monitor weld quality and make adjustments for consistency.
• Perform weld inspections and document results.
• Identify defects and machine issues and take corrective action.
• Follow welding procedures, quality requirements and production standards.
• Maintain machine and area cleanliness and perform basic maintenance.
