Cerritos Nissan & Infiniti in Cerritos, CA is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to diagnose, repair and service a variety of vehicles. You will test systems, perform preventive maintenance and communicate findings to the team to ensure quality work.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, ASE certification preferred, and at least one year in a service department. A valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• ASE Certification/Technical degree preferred.
• One year in a service department or related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Test systems and components to ensure proper operation.
• Isolate and diagnose issues causing malfunctions.
• Drive vehicle for testing and inspect fluid levels.
• Check tire pressure and lubricate fittings as needed.
• Install oil drain plug and oil filter; report oil levels.
• Maintain accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
• Replace worn parts before breakdowns; use hand tools.
• Utilize power tools and diagnostic equipment.
