Job summary

Quantum Computing Inc. (QCi) seeks an Assembly, Test, and Quality Control Engineer to assemble electronic, optical, and mechanical components for our quantum machines, perform functional tests, and document results.

You will collaborate with electrical, FPGA, optical, mechanical, embedded, and software engineers to troubleshoot issues, drive improvements, and maintain rigorous safety and quality standards across all processes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics, Mechanics, or a related field.
• Prior experience in a testing or assembly role, preferably in an electronics or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with lab instruments such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
• Dexterity in hand tools, soldering, and board reworking.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. per OSHA.
• Manual dexterity for intricate assembly/testing tasks.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience with automated testing equipment and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic, optical, and mechanical components with precision according to drawings.
• Perform functional testing and troubleshoot assembled products.
• Document test results and assembly processes per company standards.
• Identify and diagnose issues in prototypes or production units and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve assembly processes and product performance.
• Maintain and organize tools and equipment for a safe, clean work environment.
• Uphold safety and quality standards to maintain product integrity.
