Job summary

Saint-Gobain Group is seeking an Assembly Operator in Rhode Island. The role involves manual assembly of thermoplastic and thermoset parts to exact customer specifications, including inserting, adhesive work, and part marking.

You will measure parts with calipers, micrometers, height stands, and CMM, ensuring quality and process adherence. You will assist in identifying quality issues, support continuous improvement initiatives, and perform other duties as directed by the Production Supervisor

Qualifications

High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
Computer and math skills required.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to work in above ambient temperatures.
Maintain high attendance standards.
Adhere to written and verbal instructions.
Complete paperwork correctly and legibly.
Maintain 5S in work space.
Contribute to continuous improvement projects.
Escalate problems promptly within the department.

Responsibilities

Perform manual assembly tasks to strict customer requirements (involving adhesives, insertion, part marking).
Identify quality issues within the cell and assist in root-cause analysis.
Support the Production Supervisor or Cell Lead with additional tasks as needed.
