Job summary

Stryker in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking an Assembly Technician I to assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts, and electrical systems into subassemblies and complete units using hand and power tools, jigs, and fixtures. You will follow process instructions, document quality checks, and meet cycle times as part of a fast-paced manufacturing team.

Under supervision, you will prepare products for shipment, perform set-ups and clean-up, and maintain quality of work areas.

Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• Manufacturing Experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make subassemblies, assemblies or complete units.
• Follow process work instructions and test procedures to complete tasks and record related documentation to meet quality requirements.
• Meet production build rates, schedules and cycle times.
• Prepare products for shipment per domestic and international/customer specifications.
• Use manual/power hand tools, pneumatic tools, test equipment, presses, and measuring/cutting devices.
• Set up, prep, clean up and ensure quality of own work and work area.
• Work overtime including weekends as required.
