Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking an Assembly Technician in Irwin, PA, on 1st shift. You will assemble finished products with attention to detail, follow work instructions, and help meet production schedules. Starting rate is $18 per hour.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least one year of manufacturing assembly experience, and lean manufacturing exposure. You should be able to read instructions, work with hand tools, and lift up to 40 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean Manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble finished products with attention to detail.
• Follow detailed work instructions to maintain quality and meet production schedules.
• Label products and perform initial packaging for shipping.
• Conduct visual inspections of assembled parts for quality and accuracy.
• Utilize basic math for calculations as required.
• Ensure proper handling, use and disposal of chemicals and materials in the waste stream where applicable.
• Promote a safe work environment by following all safety procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives (quality, safety, etc.).
• Follow standard work, Day by Hour, TIB, and other metrics.
