Job summary

Saint-Gobain in Bristol, RI is seeking an Assembly Operator to perform manual assembly tasks to strict customer requirements, including inserting parts, applying adhesives and marking components.

You will measure parts with calipers, micrometers, height stands and CMM, identify quality issues, and assist the team while maintaining 5S standards. You must complete paperwork accurately and escalate problems as needed in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Computer and Math skills required.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in above ambient temperatures.
• Maintain high attendance standards.
• Adhere to written and verbal instructions.
• Complete paperwork correctly and legibly.
• Maintains 5S workspace and standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in output, quality, cost and delivery.
• Escalate problems promptly within the department.
• Make quality parts meeting customer specs with minimal scrap.
• Adhere to Saint-Gobain Principles of Conduct and Action.
• ITAR – U.S. Person compliance.

Responsibilities

• The Assembly Operator will perform manual assembly tasks to strict customer requirements.
• Inserting, working with adhesives, and part marking of thermoplastic and thermoset parts.
• Assist in identifying quality issues within the cell.
• Contribute to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor or Cell Lead.
