Job summary

ThermoSafe is seeking an Assembler (Pre-Expander) to perform hands-on manufacturing tasks in a fast-paced plant environment in Beecher, IL. You will trim, assemble, and prepare components for downstream processes, while maintaining safety, quality, and organized work areas.

Report to the Production Supervisor and contribute to efficient operations through teamwork and adherence to procedures. Responsibilities include removing flashing, cutting and fitting parts, assembling with various fastening

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months of manufacturing/assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand basic instructions and production docs.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and measurements (tape measure).
• Ability to follow simple instructions with limited supervision.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and material-handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Remove plastic flashing with files/scrapers/sanders to fit parts.
• Cut, grind, and trim composite/plastic parts to specs.
• Assemble products using adhesives, bolts, screws, rivets.
• Prepare components for foaming and downstream processes.
• Clean and inspect finished products prior to shipment.
• Move materials with pallet jacks and maintain safe workflow.
• Maintain tools and report repairs; keep workspace organized.
• Follow safety requirements and SOPs; perform related duties.
