Job summary

Fives is seeking an Assembler/Millwright in Louisville to read prints and drawings, use a variety of manufacturing equipment and hand tools, and assemble components to print specifications. The role involves collaborating with shop colleagues, following instructions, and meeting safety guidelines in a light industrial setting.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and experience with hand/air/power tools, plus crane and rigging knowledge as a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Mechanically inclined: use of hand/air/power tools (drills, impact wrenches, c-clamps, and rivet guns).
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings/prints, and procedure manuals.
• Critical Soft Skills: Detail-Oriented, Sense of Urgency, Effectiveness in Pressure Situations.
• Previous work experience as an Assembler or Millwright is preferred.
• Overhead Crane and Rigging knowledge/experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow prints/drawings, work instructions, and procedures to assemble equipment.
• Determine assembly sequence.
• Retrieve, assemble, and attach component parts and sub-assemblies to products based on engineering specifications.
• Performs various hand assemblies, fitting and adjusting operations, of a repetitive nature.
• Rework non-conforming parts and products.
• Adjusts the equipment according to the drawing and instructions.
• Assembles all drive line technologies and electrical wiring circuits according to a specification, drawing, and instruction.
• Tests the equipment according to the work card and instructions using the test box.
• Completes the quality checklists correctly.
• Perform work in accordance with Company safety rules and guidelines.
• Lift, load, sort, and move materials, supplies, finished product between storage and work areas in a safe manner.
