Job summary

ALMCO, based in Minnesota, is seeking a skilled assembler to join our manufacturing team. You will perform sub-assembly and final assembly of mechanical and electrical components, using drawings and schematics to ensure products meet exact specifications.

You will handle hands-on setup, use hand and power tools, and maintain clean, safe work areas while collaborating with engineers and technicians. This 20-26 hourly wage position supports a long-standing manufacturing legacy under Innovance, Inc.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Entry level or 1-2 years of assembly experience
• Familiar with mechanical and electromechanical components
• Able to read and interpret routings, bills of material, assembly drawings, work instructions and notes
• Manual dexterity
• Ability to work in a team setting
• A positive can-do attitude
• Strong motivation and communication skills
• Problem solving skills
• Refuse to be satisfied with average performance
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Utilize hand tools, power tools and hardware to assemble and wire standard and engineered products to customer specifications and quality standards with the aid of supervision or trainers.
• Apply electrical, mechanical and plumbing skills to complete assembly.
• Set up jobs, gather parts/drawings, reference BOM, read schematics.
• Communicate with engineers and technicians to resolve discrepancies.
• Inspect products during assembly and before shipment.
• Lift/position assemblies and operate overhead hoist or crane as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, orderly work area.
• Set up and perform department operations with minimal supervision.
• Familiar with mechanical and electromechanical components.
• Understand part prints, tolerances and symbols.
• Check part quality and adjust as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
