Job summary

MiTek Inc. is seeking an Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Missouri. The role focuses on assembling machines and sub-assemblies by following blueprints and work instructions with Lean and 5S methods.

The candidate will read prints, perform layouts, drill, tap, and align components with supervision. The position requires high school education or GED, 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, and the ability to use hand tools and read a tape measure.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• 1-2 years experience in manufacturing or job shop environment preferred.
• Able to perform mathematical skills such as calculating proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume and able to apply concepts of basic geometry
• Ability to read and understand prints and schematics
• Ability to use small hand‑power tools, including reading a tape measure with 1/32-inch increments
• Able to use Microsoft Office Applications

Responsibilities

• Perform minor layout work, drilling, and tapping.
• Remove small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts.
• Align components, and bolts, screws, and rivets them together.
• Assemble sub-assemblies per drawing and/or work instructions with supervision.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty.
