MiTek is seeking an assembler to construct machines and sub-assemblies following blueprints, schematics, and written instructions. The role emphasizes lean and 5S methodologies, with attention to quality and safety in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities include drilling, tapping, fitting, and bolting components, while maintaining a clean work area and ensuring timely attendance to the shift. Strong reading of prints and basic geometry are needed.
The Assembler will be responsible to assemble machines, equipment, and their sub-assemblies using Lean and 5S methodologies and by following blueprints, schematics, and other work instructions and other written and verbal specifications.
Computer Skills: Windows Operating Systems
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to read a tape measurer. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Time Management: Completing a job within the requested time frame
