Summary: Install and remove mechanical and electrical components in assemblies and sub-assemblies per work instructions and/or visual aids. May troubleshoot failed assemblies to determine corrective action.

Responsibilities:

  • Uses hand tools and custom fixtures, working in a team environment with other assemblers and support functions to produce products on time and with a high level of quality.
  • Performs validation and inspection of own work and within immediate work area.
  • Maintains adequate supplies and a neat and orderly work area.
  • Maintains tools and equipment in proper working order.
  • Maintains the security and confidentiality of customer products and documentation.
  • May become involved with product testing.
  • Participates in providing timely feedback to upstream and downstream operations as appropriate.
  • Proactively participates in site Lean engagement and activities.
  • Provides feedback on ways to reduce scrap created within the process by recommending corrective action to reduce or eliminate root cause.
  • Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
  • Complies and follows all company security policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Able to perform all the essential functions and competencies listed above.
  • Cross‑trained in all assigned operations and/or is a specialist or SME in at least one involved process.
  • Able to use a wide variety of tooling.
  • Works with moderately complex processes and challenging customer expectations.
  • Able to use independent judgment with minimum oversight by supervision.
  • Works with complex product testing.
  • Serves as a mentor to lesser skilled employees.
  • Able to handle multiple and changing priorities.
  • Multi‑skilled and/or possesses specialized knowledge.
  • Competent with reading and understanding of blueprints.
  • Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.

Compensation Range: $23.51 to $35.26 USD. Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
