Job description

Summary

Install and remove mechanical and electrical components in assemblies and sub-assemblies per work instructions and/or visual aids. May troubleshoot failed assemblies to determine corrective action.

Responsibilities
  • Uses hand tools and custom fixtures, working in a team environment to produce products on time and with high quality.
  • Performs validation and inspection of own work and of the immediate work area.
  • Maintains adequate supplies and a neat, orderly work area.
  • Maintains tools and equipment in proper working order.
  • Maintains the security and confidentiality of customer products and documentation.
  • May become involved with product testing.
  • Participates in providing timely feedback to upstream and downstream operations as appropriate.
  • Proactively participates in site Lean engagement and activities.
  • Provides feedback on ways to reduce scrap created within the process by recommending corrective action to reduce or eliminate root cause.
  • Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
  • Complies with all company security policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Cross-trained in all assigned operations and/or is a specialist or SME in at least one involved process.
  • Works with moderately complex processes and challenging customer expectations.
  • Uses independent judgment with minimum oversight by supervision.
  • Works with complex product testing.
  • Serves as a mentor to less-skilled employees.
  • Manages multiple and changing priorities.
  • Possesses specialized knowledge and is multi‑skilled.
  • Is competent with reading and understanding of blueprints.
Qualifications

  • 3–10 years working with all processes or a specialized knowledge in one or more processes.
Location and Schedule

Concord, CA

Shift: Shift 8

Work Schedule: Friday–Sunday 5:00am–5:30pm

Safety – Drug Testing

This position is classified as safety‑sensitive because impairment while performing job duties could pose a significant risk of harm. Where permitted by applicable law or required by federal regulation, Benchmark will conduct a pre‑employment drug screen, which may include testing for THC.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation Range: $23.51 to $35.26 USD per hour.

Benefits and Other Compensation: Bonus Plan, 401(k), Paid Time Off, Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, all based on scheduled hours. Benchmark complies with applicable state and local employee leave laws.
