Job summary

Daifuku Automotive America Corporation seeks an Assembler I at our Reynoldsburg, OH facility. The role involves mechanical assembly with close tolerances, reading blueprints, and preparing parts for production and shipping.

You will support safe, efficient production and maintain a high standard of quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Qualified candidates will have blueprint reading, basic tool use, and math skills; forklift/overhead crane experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have blueprint reading knowledge.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments and transits.
• Some knowledge of welding steel, aluminum and stainless steel desirable.
• Forklifts and Overhead crane experience preferred.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Team player with a high sense of urgency to meet production goals.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting 25–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blue prints and instructions with minimal supervision.
• Be able to locate all parts and hardware as needed.
• Part inspection before assembly.
• Layout work and assemble product with shimming, grinding, and setting dimensions.
• Assemble larger parts, maintain order, and disassemble for shipping.
• Touch up paint and prepare for shipping.
• Document actions of final assemblies on production/quality forms.
• Resolves assembly problems by adjusting dimensions to meet specs; notify supervisor for resources.
• Follow plant safety guidelines and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Use PPE as required and maintain regular attendance.
