Job summary

Lake Air Products is seeking a General Assembler in Appleton, WI to read blueprints, assemble parts and subassemblies, inspect components, and assist with packaging and labeling in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

The position involves preparing materials, organizing parts, verifying specifications, and resolving assembly issues while supporting daily production operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of varied manufacturing experience in Mechanical Assembly.
• Bend and lift, loading and unloading workpieces onto pallets, and move from one workstation to another, alternately sitting and standing.
• Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Perform repetitive work more than 9 hours per day.
• Ability to quickly learn new blueprints and perform all necessary measurements.
• Wear required PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe shoes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Organizes parts and subassemblies for an efficient assembly process.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed components/products.
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying the supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
