Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in New Brighton, MN is seeking an Assembler/Deburrer for on-site manufacturing. You will assemble large and small components, deburr, glue, solder and epoxy parts, and operate mechanical assembly equipment while following blueprints and processes.

You will also complete required ERP documentation and maintain 5S in a safe, organized workspace. Strong reading of assembly drawings, basic math, and good written/spoken communication are expected.

Qualifications

• Basic ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and specifications.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and possess a sense of urgency.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Experience setting up and operating mechanical assembly equipment and tools.
• PC Skills in a Windows environment.
• Experience using an ERP system.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Glue, solder and epoxy materials and parts together.
• Assemble large and small components according to drawings using small hand tools.
• Complete required documentation for all jobs including entering data into ERP system.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, adhering to 5S principles.
• Other duties as assigned.
