Job summary

U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC in Portland, Tennessee, is seeking an Assembler to join our team. You will assemble parts by hand or with simple machines under the direction of the Production Supervisor, following work instructions and ensuring quality and productivity.

The role requires basic math, reading of simple terms, and strong manual dexterity. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with 1–3 months of related experience and a team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Manual dexterity and ability to use various machines.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read a limited number of simple words and numbers; basic printing and spoken sentences.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with weights and measurements.
• Ability to follow written/oral instructions and solve problems.
• Basic computer skills and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions and route sheets; assemble and pack products.
• Inspect machine at shift start and annotate on check sheet.
• Clean and lubricate machinery as required.
• Inspect and place parts in designated trays.
• Meet specified quantity and quality guidelines.
• Maintain equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Report faults or defective material to supervisor.
• Conduct visual quality inspections.
• Work on various surfaces and heights as needed.
• Monitor machines and work in a fast-paced environment.
