Job summary

Kelly is seeking an Assembly Worker in Portage, IN, for a first-shift schedule (7:00am-3:30pm) with travel requirements and a contract-to-perm path. The role emphasizes precise assembly, testing, and documentation using modern tools, with safety and quality as top priorities.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, operating precision measuring devices, and ensuring compliance with procedures. Overtime and weekend work may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assemble per drawings and work orders, testing as required.
• Use precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet specs.
• Ensure assemblies are clean and follow procedures.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Read blueprints and technical documents for proper assembly.
• Write routine reports and communicate with peers and supervisors.
• Overtime and weekend work as needed.
• Assist CIP and continuous improvement activities.
