Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician for our service center in the Poughkeepsie, NY area. You will align tires, perform inspections, oil/filters and tire repairs while delivering high-quality automotive service.

Qualifications

• be at least 18 years of age
• be legally authorized to work in the United States
• possess 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating and balancing tires or any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
• it is preferred that Alignment Technicians possess a state inspection license

Responsibilities

• Align tires and wheels using the latest equipment, measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe and thrust angles to reduce tire wear and ensure straight travel.
• Complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes and flat repairs as part of routine service.
• Perform other required automotive service or vehicle repairs to customers' vehicles as needed.
