Job summary

United Aero Group in Alabama is seeking an Aircraft Painter to prep, prime, and apply finishes to helicopter exteriors, reading blueprints and following OEM and FAA requirements. You’ll work in hangars with PPE and maintain accurate records while supporting a high-performing team.

Required 2–5 years of painting experience (helicopter preferred); OSHA 10 is preferred and respirator training is a plus. This role emphasizes quality, safety, and efficient production in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2–5 years in painting, automotive prep, or industrial coatings; helicopter painting preferred.
• Certifications: OSHA 10 preferred; respirator training a plus.
• Legal: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Prepare aircraft surfaces by sanding, masking, cleaning, and removing old paint or corrosion.
• Mix and apply primers, sealants, and topcoat paints using spray guns or other specialized equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and paint schemes.
• Ensure precise application of paint according to color specifications and aircraft livery.
• Inspect painted surfaces for flaws and ensure quality control standards are met.
