Job summary

Prairieland FS, Inc. is seeking an Application Specialist to accurately apply agricultural inputs using specialized equipment. The role requires following agronomic plans, compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and working outdoors in varying conditions.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, a CDL with endorsements within six months, and pesticide licenses within six months. Experience with sprayers and precision ag is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with required endorsements within six months.
• All required federal and state pesticide licenses within six months.
• Experience operating agricultural machinery, esp. sprayers and spreaders.
• Knowledge of agronomy practices and safety regulations.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain custom application equipment including sprayers, spreaders, and other machinery.
• Apply crop production input products according to agronomic plans and guidelines.
• Conduct pre- and post-application inspections for safety and efficiency.
• Follow detailed maps and instructions for precise product placement and rates.
• Monitor weather and field conditions to optimize timing and method.
• Maintain records of applications, products used, rates, and areas treated.
• Coordinate with customers and team members on schedules and satisfaction.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE usage.
• Assist with inventory management and reporting of chemical usage.
• Perform minor repairs on equipment as needed.
