Job summary

Heritage Tractor seeks a Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair customer-owned and dealership equipment, ensuring safe, efficient operation. You will follow manuals, complete documentation, and participate in training to keep skills current.

You will diagnose precision tech products, maintain knowledge of equipment and competitive products, and communicate repair status with supervisors. Forklift cert or ability to obtain certification is required; up to 75 lbs lifting and varied

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in diesel technology, agricultural equipment technology, mechanical technology, or related field.
• At least one year of experience performing equipment maintenance or repair.
• Valid driver's license.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Ability to use diagnostic software, including Service Advisor.
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for testing and diagnostic purposes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work on agricultural and turf equipment.
• Diagnose and repair established precision technology products and related systems as assigned.
• Follow manufacturer technical manuals, dealership procedures, and service standards when completing repairs.
• Participate in required training programs to develop technical skills and maintain current product knowledge.
• Maintain working knowledge of equipment, technologies, and competitive products relevant to the role.
• Complete required service documentation, reports, work orders, and other records accurately and on time.
• Accurately record labor hours and materials used for assigned work.
• Maintain tools, service equipment, vehicles, and inventory in proper working condition.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repair status, equipment concerns, and service needs.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
