Job summary

BARNES AEROSPACE West Chester OEM division is seeking Production Operators. The ideal candidates are quick learners with attention to detail and strong analytical/problem solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include visual inspection for nicks, burrs and flaws, operating measurement equipment to verify tolerances, and performing deburr and rework steps. Strong math, communication, and time-management skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of experience in a production/shop position.
• Able to use advanced math to perform calculations and percentages.
• Clear and effective written and oral communication.
• Ability to follow complex instructions and determine a course of action.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform all activities required to complete visual inspection of parts for nicks, burrs and flaws and repair if possible.
• Operate the equipment (jigs, fixtures, gages, calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to verify dimensions meet tolerances.
• Operate the equipment (deburr guns, hand tools, grit blaster) for 1st run and rework parts.
• Hand adjust parts to make corrections.
