Job summary

RAM Aerospace, a leader in precision aerospace components, is seeking an Assembly Technician in St. George, UT. You will assemble electromechanical units, read blueprints, and verify tolerances with precision tools. The role emphasizes quality, traceability, and safety in a defense/space environment.

You will use hand and power tools, perform fittings, and prepare units for shipping. A high school diploma and mechanical aptitude are required; training is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Legal: Able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening.
• ITAR: Must be a U.S. citizen or national, or legally admitted into the U.S.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable with hand/power tools and mechanical assembly.
• Technical Skills: Read blueprints and use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Attention to Detail: High focus and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical Demands: Able to stand, sit, and lift moderately heavy parts.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, position, align, and fasten units using hand and power tools.
• File, lap, and buff parts to ensure perfect fits between components.
• Read technical blueprints and determine parts and sequences for assemblies.
• Measure parts with precision instruments and inspect units for tolerances.
• Clean, lubricate, and label parts for traceability; disassemble when needed.
