Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Insurance Pre-Certifications Specialist to coordinate pre-certifications and predeterminations, verify eligibility and benefits, and obtain required clinical documents. You will communicate with insurance companies, providers, and financial teams to resolve coverage issues and support timely reimbursement.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and at least one year of healthcare-related experience; Epic knowledge is a plus, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of pre-certifications, medical billing, registration, healthcare experience, or other business or healthcare related education preferred.
• Knowledge of Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients requiring pre-certification or pre-determination.
• Obtain precertifications, determine eligibility and benefits.
• Coordinate with insurance companies to resolve coverage issues and ensure payment.
