Job summary

Wells is seeking an entry‑level Engineer in Training (EIT) to gain hands‑on experience in precast concrete design, production, and project coordination in Colorado. You will support senior engineers, learn through site visits, and work toward PE licensure while exploring design, manufacturing, and field operations.

The role offers a clear development path, exposure to multiple disciplines, and opportunities to contribute to client projects with guidance from experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET‑accredited preferred).
• 0–3 years of engineering experience, preferably in precast or structural design.
• Basic proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with desire to pursue PE licensure.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support structural design and analysis of precast concrete components under senior engineer guidance.
• Interpret drawings and perform basic engineering calculations.
• Assist with project coordination, tracking milestones, and schedules.
• Collaborate with interior teams including engineering, production, and field operations.
• Identify project issues and help develop solutions with senior engineers.
• Provide engineering support to sales, estimating, and project development.
• Participate in site and plant visits to gain field and manufacturing exposure.
• Assist in resolving technical issues and supporting corrective actions on projects.
