Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production and to perform owner/agency inspections as needed. You will verify prestressing operations, review strength records, and accept or reject products per shop drawings.

Responsibilities include maintaining PCI/DOT QC records, supervising Level I inspectors, and coordinating travel between plants on project assignments. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level II is required.
• 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant.
• Knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and the DOT precast specifications for the state.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations including strand certification and transfer strength.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products against specs and shop drawings.
• Maintain plant QC records for PCI/DOT certifications and supervise Level I inspectors.
