Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Precast Concrete Inspector I to perform plant QC on precast and prestressed concrete, check forms and reinforcement before pours, verify strand tensioning records, and run fresh concrete tests. You will cast and cure cylinders and inspect finished pieces for dimensions and defects before shipment.

The role requires PCI Level I or ACI Grade I with plant experience, the ability to read shop drawings, and comfortable engagement with an early production

Qualifications

• PCI Level I QC certification or ACI Grade I with 1+ year plant experience.
• Ability to read shop drawings and tensioning calculations.
• Willingness to work early production schedules and travel between plants.

Responsibilities

• Inspect forms, reinforcement, embeds, and blockouts against shop drawings.
• Verify strand tensioning elongation and force records.
• Run fresh concrete tests and cast cylinders per ASTM C31.
• Inspect finished products for dimensions, camber, finish and tag for shipment or repair.
