Job summary

CMC, a Fortune 500® company, is seeking a production helper to support the precast concrete process. You will assist from setup through shipment, helping mold preparation, reinforcement placement, pouring and curing under supervision.

You will work on a team in our Martinsburg facility, perform physically demanding tasks, and follow safety procedures. We provide training, benefits from day one, and opportunities for advancement as you gain experience in construction reinforcement.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical work (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, bending, and kneeling)
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Availability for overtime, including weekends as needed
• Ability to work well on a team to meet production goals
• Basic math and reading skills (measurements, simple drawings)
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Manufacturing, construction, or concrete experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Support production of precast concrete products from setup through shipment
• Set up and prepare molds/forms (clean, assemble, apply release agents)
• Place reinforcing materials (rebar, wire mesh, embeds) per specifications
• Assist with pouring, leveling, and finishing concrete
• Support curing process and strip finished products from molds
• Perform basic finishing (patching, smoothing, marking/stenciling)
• Cut and tie wire/rebar as needed for reinforcement
• Move and stage materials and finished products for curing or shipment
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
