Job summary

American Concrete Products Co in Dallas, TX is seeking a Production Supervisor to work with the Production Manager to schedule crews and oversee prepcast form production. The role involves coaching crews, ensuring safety, and coordinating with foremen and QC to optimize quality and workflow.

You will interpret blueprints, guide production processes, and drive continuous improvement, including reducing rework and improving efficiency.

Qualifications

• Precast experience required.
• Must be able to interpret blueprints with ease.
• Ability to read a measuring tape.
• Carpentry preferred.
• Concrete finishing experience preferred.
• Heavy equipment experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides information to estimators for general guidelines for precast production costs and job opportunities.
• Assists in establishing and managing production schedules and table utilization.
• Attends daily production meetings to discuss schedules and improvements.
• Meets with crew leaders to communicate sequences and potential problems.
• Ensures complete fabrication by production personnel for QC check.
• Engages crew members in productive work and training tasks.
• Evaluates precasters' skill levels and coaches for increased responsibility.
• Acts as role model for attendance, timeliness, loyalty and teamwork.
• Conducts preliminary performance appraisals with Plant Manager.
• Monitors labor costs per panel and engages in problem-solving.
• Tracks and reduces precast panel rework and fixes.
• Maintains plant safety per Safety Manual.
• Develops prioritized tasks for production downtime.
