Job summary

Coastal Precast Systems, LLC in Chesapeake, VA seeks a Precast / Pre-Stress Drafter with 5+ years of experience to read architectural and structural drawings and develop concept drawings from sketches.

You will lay out projects, detail shop tickets for fabrication, and collaborate with sales, engineering, project management, QA/QC and plant staff on a full range of precast work. Full-time position with medical, 401K, and paid holidays; salary range 65k–80k.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in precast concrete, structural preferred but not required.
• Associate degree or BS in related field.
• Ability to read Architectural and Structural drawings, as well as developing concept drawings from sketches.
• Work with sales, engineering, project management, qa/qc and other plant personnel.
• Can work on a full range of precast concrete projects—from heavy structural and civil to Architectural to miscellaneous CIP conversions.

Responsibilities

• Lay out projects, or detail shop tickets for fabrication.
• Perform structural limited handling calculations for precast members.
• Perform project take offs and assist estimation and project detail tracking and production release.
• Assist in engineering project coordination and plant design projects.
