Job summary

Dallas County in Texas seeks a Compliance Coordinator to assist with administrative compliance, conduct investigations of abuse and misconduct, and serve as the PREA Coordinator overseeing five juvenile residential facilities.

Under the Compliance Manager, you will help develop the PREA implementation plan, assist with training, review standards, and coordinate investigations. Travel to sites may be required, and a valid Texas driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice or related field.
• Three years of work related or compliance and PREA monitoring experience.
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and be able to travel.
• Must pass an extensive background investigation and mandatory drug testing.
• May be a Certified Probation Officer or become certified within 6 months after employment.

Responsibilities

• Assists with conducting the department’s annual compliance review with agencies to establish compliance and procedures.
• Performs compliance monitoring activities within all divisions of the juvenile department.
• Assists with preparing and delivering compliance training and develops policies to prevent sexual abuse and harassment.
• Develops and coordinates required PREA training for staff, volunteers, contractors, and residents.
• Assists with investigations across five DCJD facilities and probation field offices.
• Oversees or conducts investigations into alleged PREA violations and reviews standards for regulatory compliance.
• Maintains a compliance calendar and tracks inquiries or citations.
