Job summary

DreamPak is seeking a 2nd Shift Pre-Weigh Operator at our Wisconsin facility to support weighing, labeling, and material handling for beverage concentrate production. The role involves following GMP/HACCP guidelines, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with manufacturing teams to meet production schedules.

Responsibilities include measuring ingredients, recording weights, planning stock rotation, and ensuring accurate weights for batches while adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year job related experience in measuring and weighing materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Must have a valid WI driver’s license (required for forklift operation)
  • Must be able to remain on their feet for an extended period of time
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to FDA and other regulatory guidelines on raw materials, mixtures and end result product.
  • Places loose or packaged material on scales and adds or removes portions of material to obtain specified weight as required.
  • Weighs partial ingredients and records weights and lot numbers on manufacturing orders.
  • Prints out the weight of ingredients weighed, verifies the correct weight and attaches the print out to the ingredient.
  • Reads manufacturing order or formula to determine types and quantities of materials to weigh.
  • Assesses material requirements for orders to determine if everything needed is available to make the mixes.
  • Plan stock rotation to be sure first in, first out methodology.
  • Calculates number of full containers and partial weight containers for all ingredients to cover mix requirements.
  • Records weights of materials used for production records or maintains perpetual inventory.
  • Prepares labels as required by manufacturing orders.
  • Re-weighs remaining ingredient containers and records new weight, lot number, and date on outside before sealing.
  • Transfers weighed materials to production or storage areas.
  • Stages full and partial containers on pallets for each manufacturing order.
  • Maintains organized partial ingredient storage area.
  • Maintains accurate paper records of quantities of ingredients used.
  • Ensures a clean Pre-Weigh room per requirements.
  • Ensures bag waste is disposed of or recycled as required.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP requirements.
  • Observe all safety, cGMP, PPE, and quality procedures while completing required tasks.
  • May act as a back-up to the Batching Operator or Materials Handler.

The shift is 2:15 PM - 10:30 PM.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Adhere to FDA and other regulatory guidelines on raw materials, mixtures and end result product.
  • Places loose or packaged material on scales and adds or removes portions of material to obtain specified weight as required.
  • Weighs partial ingredients (scoops and dumps) and records weights and lot numbers on manufacturing orders. Partial ingredient information is written on outside of partial containers that includes description, lot number, date, etc.
  • Prints out the weight of ingredients weighed, (up to 150lbs), verifies the correct weight and attaches the print out to the ingredient.
  • Reads manufacturing order or formula to determine types and quantities of materials to weigh.
  • Assesses material requirements for orders to determine if everything needed is available to make the mixes. Plan stock rotation to be sure first in, first out methodology.
  • Calculates number of full containers, sacks, cartons, drums, etc., and partial weight containers that must be weighted out for all ingredients to cover mix requirements.
  • Records weights of materials used for production records, or maintains perpetual inventory of materials used and on hand.
  • Prepares labels as required by manufacturing orders.
  • Re-weighs remaining ingredient containers and records new weight, lot number, and date on outside before sealing and replacing into storage.
  • Transfers weighed materials to production or storage areas.
  • Stages full and partial containers on pallets for each manufacturing order.
  • Maintains organized and clutter-free partial ingredient storage area.
  • Maintains accurate paper records of the quantities of ingredients used.
  • Ensures and maintains a clean Pre-Weigh room per requirements.
  • Ensures that all bag waste is disposed of or recycled as required.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP requirements.
  • Observe all safety, cGMP, PPE, and quality procedures while completing required tasks.
  • May act as a back-up to the Batching Operator or Materials Handler.
