Job summary

Goodkind is seeking a Pre-weigh Associate in the Round Rock/Austin area to accurately weigh and mix raw materials according to product specifications, while following safety guidelines and wearing required PPE. You will document all weighing data and ensure alignment with the batching documentation.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, tracking chemical inventory, coordinating with the warehouse, and working with maintenance, supervision, and R&D on batching procedures.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to stand for a significant portion of the shift.
• Willing to work overtime and/or weekends as required by management or production schedule.
• Ability to perform fundamental mathematical calculations.

Overview
Reporting to the Pre-weigh Supervisor, the Pre-weigh Associate is responsible for accurately weighing and/or mixing raw materials according to product specifications

What You’ll Do

• Follow all safety guidelines and be an integral part of the safety of the workplace by participating in all safety initiatives.
• Wear all appropriate PPE when working with the chemicals and equipment required for weighing and batching.
• Ensure batches are produced in accordance with the production schedule.
• Weigh individual chemicals and ingredients to the desired weights required by the documentation and document all of the correct information from the weighed ingredients to the batching documentation.
• Keep track of all documentation, fill it out completely, and follow all good documentation practices.
• All chemical inventory should be tracked and returned in a timely manner when not being used back to the warehouse.
• Cooperate with the warehouse and report any material discrepancies and shortages.
• Work with maintenance to identify any malfunctioning or damaged equipment and have it repaired or removed from service.
• Work as a resource with Supervision and Research and Development on any changes that should be made to the batching procedures.
• Any additional responsibilities that supervision requires for the success of the department and company.
