Job summary

Youth Villages Mississippi is seeking a Pre-Service Coordinator for the Mississippi Youth Programs Around the Clock (MYPAC) initiative. This role focuses on marketing referrals, coordinating care, and ensuring smooth intake to support 6-21-year-olds with behavioral health needs.

You'll work with a team across EMR, crisis response, and Medicaid eligibility, while maintaining strong communication with referral sources and supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social services discipline required.
  • DMH credentialing eligibility in Mississippi required.
  • Experience providing customer service and mental health assessments preferred.
  • Experience with at-risk youth and families preferred.
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and flexible schedule.
  • Basic computer knowledge and EMR familiarity.

Responsibilities

  • Markets for new referrals by conducting marketing presentations and outreach.
  • Maintains contact with referral sources and provides appropriate customer service.
  • Communicates weekly with Regional Supervisor regarding active referral numbers and census projections.
  • Processes forms, assessments, and referral packets for submission to Placement Services.
  • Gathers clinical information and verifies Medicaid eligibility for MYPAC admission.
  • Provides crisis response during eligibility determination.
  • Attends weekly meetings for professional development and quarterly booster trainings.
  • Completes accurate documentation in the EMR system.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The program follows the High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) model—a collaborative, family-driven process that coordinates individualized care across multiple service systems.MYPAC provides clinical, care coordination, and case management services as an alternative to residential treatment, focusing on intensive community support to keep children safely at home. MYPAC teams are available 24/7 for crisis intervention and ongoing support, offering in-home individual and family therapy, as well as medication management.Rooted in the principles of “Family Voice, Family Choice,” this program ensures that services are youth-guided and family-driven.
