Job summary

Hidaya Academy of Champaign-Urbana is seeking qualified preschool teachers for the 4 year old classroom. Under the direction of the administrators, teachers will provide educational experiences for the “whole child” including growth in spiritual, social-emotional, academic and physical areas.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the administrators, teachers will provide educational experiences for the “whole child”-- including subject-matter and skills that facilitate a child’s growth into a mature and capable adult. Teachers will prepare and execute full teaching plans according to the school’s requirements. Teachers will adhere to the staff code of conduct and act as excellent role models for students.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma with previous experience teaching preschool children. Child development associates, CDA, preferred.

Preferred Experience: Previous early childhood teaching experience preferred.

• Maintain a safe, orderly and supportive classroom by modeling expected behavior and standards and promoting positive interactions.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on assessment of professional personnel.
