Job summary

Think Academy US is seeking a Pre-School Mathematics Tutor to teach in-person group classes at our Irvine campus. You will deliver engaging lessons using our curriculum for preschool to lower elementary students, in classes of about 8–12 students.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, reliable transportation, and consistent weekday afternoon availability plus weekend work. You will assess student progress and communicate with parents to support learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Education and Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Reliable transportation to Irvine campus for in-person teaching.
• Consistent weekday afternoon availability and weekend availability.
• Commitment to at least one complete semester: Spring, Summer, Fall terms.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging English-language mathematics lessons to Pre-School/Lower Elementary students using Think Academy curriculum.

Expected Hours: 15-20 hrs/week

Pay Rate: Starting at $35/teaching hr + $20/ non-teaching hr

Think Academy is looking for a Pre-School Mathematics Tutor that can join us as soon as possible. You will be responsible to teach our students in a group class format. With your help, we hope to deliver high-quality and engaging education to our students in this in-person class setting.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach engaging lessons in English for Pre-School/Lower Elementary Level Mathematics to our students using Think Academy's curriculum.
• Foster an inclusive and positive classroom learning environment for classes of roughly 8 - 12 students.
• Identify and address individual learning needs by providing personalized guidance to students.
• Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress, achievements, and areas of concerns.
  • Conduct parent-teacher conferences/meetings as needed to discuss their student's performance.
• Assist grade-level manager in designing and holding student activities.
• Conduct math level assessments and other student enrollment activities.

Qualifications (REQUIRED)

• Must have obtained a Bachelor's Degree or higher.
• All majors are welcomed, Education and Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Must have a reliable transportation to teach in-person at Irvine campus.
• Must have consistent availability on weekday afternoons and either Saturday or Sunday.
• Must be able to commit to at least one whole semester of teaching without interruption.
  • Spring Semester: January - May
  • Summer Semester: June - August
  • Fall Semester: August - December

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Strong knowledge and understanding of math concepts as well as problem-solving techniques.
• Recent graduate with a bachelors in Education or related majors is preferred.
• Prior teaching experience, especially in mathematics, is highly preferred.
• Strong passion and interest in teaching and the education industry to align with our mission to provide better education for all students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in utilizing technology for instructional purposes.
• Reliable, Hard-Working, and Responsible.
• Enjoys working and communicating with younger children.
